In a nutshell, the film revolves around the story of two men Billa and Ranger who are completely look-alike. Billa is an underworld don and currently hiding from the international criminal list of Interpol. An ACP named Krishnamoorthy who works for the agency has spent several years searching for Billa.

During a chase with the cops, Billa is wounded because of an accident and he then breathes his last right in front of the ACP. He later holds a funeral for Billa in secret and no one is aware of his death. Keeping the death of Billa as a big secret, he tracks down his look-alike named Swami Ranga (also played by Prabhas) who is a petty thief living in Visakhapatnam.
